“Publishers are finding they can improve sustainability through supply path optimization, the process where buyers and advertisers make the path from publisher to advertiser shorter and more efficient, according to discussions and interviews at the Green Media Summit in New York this week, hosted by supply-side platform Sharethrough.”

“I signed up to today’s Green Media Summit with no real understanding of the connection between the ad industry and sustainability. In the first 5 mins I learnt that the carbon emissions generated by the internet are greater than the aviation industry 🤯 I walk away impressed and inspired at the industry’s self-led call to adopt standards and solutions towards net zero, with the likes of John Osborn and Ad Net Zero leading the charge.”

“Great discussion this morning at the Green Media Summit with Brian O’Kelley from Scope3 and Michael Burgi from Digiday. Marketers have a financial problem and an environmental problem. It is very encouraging to hear leaders across the ecosystem talk about meaningful actions the industry can take now.”

“Inspiring sessions, chats and hangs from Sharethrough’s #greenmediasummit Grateful to be in a room with so many leaders committed to taking action and making a positive impact in the industry. Also cool to get a shout from stage for the work our own Yahoo sustainability task force has started! 🌎🌳💻 Let’s keep going!
